This video work, portraits in a non linear narrative a meditative observation of a particular place, and focus the gaze on the beggars, prostitutes and gypsies (mostly displaced people) that walk and make their living in and around Puerta del Sol, literally translated as the "Sun's Gate", in the center of Madrid. The images coexist between a documented and a constructed reality.

"Employing a mixture of music, sound disruptions and pregnant silences, Javier Cambre presents in his video Puerta del Sol an almost Goyaesque view of Madrid in the twenty-first century that is by turns detached, curious and ironic."
